If you are going to accept delivery at
the terminal, you’ll find our frame systems are
compactly packed and you’ll only need a pickup
truck for smaller buildings or for other sizes, you’ll
need a flatbed trailer. The freight terminal has a forklift
on site so loading it up is pretty easy.
Panels & Trim: Your panels will
come directly from the panel manufacturer so you will
have two shipments: the frame and panel package. Panel
delivery is not available at your nearest freight terminal
and there’s a $65 charge for jobsite delivery
of the panel package. For jobsite delivery, you will
need a lifting device (forklift or tractor with a front
bucket that you can use wide nylon ratchet strapping
to create a cradle to lift the panel package off the
truck with). If you need to rent a forklift, we can
usually tell you within a three day time span when the
panels will be delivered and then the driver will call
you approximately 24 hours prior to arriving. In some
areas of the country, boom lifts on the trucks are available
and there’s a charge for this but be sure to check
with us for availability of this service.
Bear in mind, the panel delivery truck is a full sized
semi w/ a flatbed trailer. It is 72 feet long bumper
to bumper. No deliveries will take place on dirt roads
and there must be adequate room for that sized rig to
maneuver. Narrow residential streets may disqualify
you from receiving the panels at your jobsite. If all
else fails, another option for the panels and trim is
that we can locate a local supplier who can deliver
to you at your location. We’ve been at this for
years and have never failed to locate the nearest supplier
to a customer! In such event, we will supply you with
a complete “panel take-off” including all
trim and screws and while we will do our best to shop
pricing for you, we can not guarantee that their pricing
will be the same as what’s listed on our website
so if going this route, it’s a good idea to take
the sources we provide you with and give them a call.
Carriers/Claims: For years we have
shipped our frame systems out of Arizona, either with
our own trucks or via Saia Freight and/or FedEx Freight.
(This is not the overnight letter carrier; this is a
freight company). Your frame system will arrive in truck/trailer
that is at minimum, 28 feet long. Please don’t
neglect to disclose driveways on steep grades etc. to
us when ordering—this can really foul you up!
If you’re at the point of ordering you already
know we practice full disclosure—we expect the
same of you. Such situations require a local freight
terminal pickup only.
In the unlikely event anything arrives damaged, please
note it on the freight carrier’s paperwork when
you take delivery. Be sure to take a picture of the
damage and mail or e-mail the pictures to us immediately.
In addition we need you to fax a copy of the freight
bill that has your notations on it.
As long as you follow those simple procedures, we will
get your replacement parts out to you ASAP and we will
take of any claims (arguing and waiting for money) with
the carrier.
